Switching from Strong, Hevy or Jefit. Here is what comes with you.

The awkward part first: your history stays behind at launch, because importing from another app is on our roadmap and not in the build we open with. Your program is one tap.

One email when we launch, and nothing before it. Android, and installable from any modern browser. A native iOS app is on the roadmap, not shipped. How we handle it.

A built training week in Alpha Lifts: Heavy Upper on Monday and Squat Day on Tuesday both marked completed, Wednesday a rest day, then Pump Upper on Thursday, each row carrying its exercise count and rough duration.
Answer the questions and the week lands with its training days and its rest days already in place. Captured from the working Android build on 7 September 2026.

What moves, and what doesn’t.

Four answers, because these are the four things anyone leaving a tracker actually asks.

Your history stays where it is

Importing from another app is on our roadmap, not in the launch build, so your log here starts with the first session you record. Export whatever your current app will give you before you leave it, and keep the file: it is your only copy of that history, whatever any app does next.

Your program comes over in a tap

StrongLifts 5×5, Starting Strength and GZCLP start from the program list, built and ready. Anything else: answer a few questions about your experience, your goal, your days a week and the equipment you have, and the app builds the split around them.

Your working weights take one session

The first time you meet a lift, Alpha Lifts asks you to set a baseline rather than inventing one for you. From then on it proposes the next weight from the sets you logged: hit every set at target and it goes up, miss and it holds.

Your data stays yours

Logging works without a signal, your training data syncs only when you sign in, and everything exports to CSV whenever you want it. No ads, no third-party trackers, and it is never sold.

Before you leave your old app.

Two minutes of work now saves the only thing a switch can actually cost you, and one thing we will not do is tell you what your current app is like this month.

Export your history now, not later

Do it while you still have the account and the subscription. A log you exported is a log you keep, and it stops the decision to switch from being a decision to lose three years of training.

We are saying this before you switch

The reason this page leads with what does not move is that finding it out afterwards is how people end up with their training split across two apps and their history in neither.

We will not summarise anyone else’s plan

Free-tier limits, export options and prices change often, and a comparison written months ago is a claim we cannot keep true. Check your current app’s own settings, then judge ours on what is written here.

What we will put in writing

Everything listed free stays free, permanently, for everyone. That is a clause in our terms rather than a line in an advert, and it is carved out of the section that lets us change the terms.

Your first week here.

Starting over in a new tracker is mostly the first three sessions. Here is what they look like.

Day one

Pick a program or answer the questions, and the week lands with its training days and rest days in place. Move any day, swap any lift from the 172-exercise library, and start.

Your first sets

Each lift asks for its baseline, then gets out of the way: a warm-up ramp to your working weight, the plate maths done for you, and a rest timer that runs longer after a hard set than an easy one.

By the end of the week

The numbers start reading back: volume per muscle against the range for your plan, PRs as they land, and the next weight proposed on every lift you hit in full.

When import arrives

It is on the roadmap rather than in the launch build, and this page will say so until the day it ships. Pre-register and the launch email is where you will hear it.

The whole tracker is free: every feature, free or paid, line by line. The one paid part is the AI coach, at $5 a month.

Move in the day it opens.

Alpha Lifts is in its final stretch before launch. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day you can start.

  • The whole tracker is free, with no trial and no history limit. That is a term of service, not a slogan.
  • Android, and installable from any modern browser. A native iOS app is on the roadmap, not shipped.
  • Export everything to CSV whenever you want. Your email is never sold.

One email when we launch, and you can unsubscribe anytime. How we handle it.
